National Student Engagement Survey

Between August and December 2026 A new application of the National Student Engagement Survey is being developed, in which 24 universities from CRUCH are participating.

The survey is aimed at students from the cohorts selected by the project. Each participating university organizes its own application directly. and provides the necessary information to the students summoned.

The participation of students will allow to learn more about their university experience and generate information to strengthen undergraduate education.

ENCE collects information on seven dimensions related to student experience and engagement. These consider aspects such as academic challenge, peer learning, experience with teachers and the university environment.

The survey also addresses time use, expectations, and academic outcomes, along with personal and socioeconomic background information. It also provides insight into participation in high-impact training practices, so named for their contribution to learning, retention and appreciation of the university experience.

The instrument is applied to students in the cohorts selected by the project. This allows observe different moments in the educational trajectory and analyze changes in the student experience over time.

Their findings help universities understand how students experience their educational process and what conditions foster their learning. This information contributes to to guide academic decisions and strengthen institutional practices related to teaching and university experience.

ENCE also promotes collaboration between universities through the exchange of information and best practices. Each institution accesses its own results and can compare them with the aggregated information from the other participating institutions., without individualizing them or establishing classifications among them.
