Gender Equality Commission
Within the framework of the third seminar promoted by the Commission in this line of work, universities will share experiences and lessons learned on the incorporation of the gender perspective in their training processes.
The meeting will continue a space for reflection aimed at strengthening the integration of the gender approach in the curriculum and teaching practices.
The Gender Equality Commission of the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH), in collaboration with the Commission of Academic Vice-Rectorates (CoVRA), will hold the following event next Thursday, October 8th: III Seminaror “Gender in the classroom: How do we continue to incorporate the gender perspective into the university curriculum and teaching practice?”, at the Central House of the University of Chile.
This third version will continue an exchange space aimed at sharing experiences and advances of universities, recognizing critical issues and addressing the challenges to integrate the gender perspective in educational models, curriculum development and teaching practices in a more transversal and sustainable way.
The day's program includes an opening talk by Carolina Muñoz, a researcher at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, as well as group work and a panel discussion on the challenges and proposals for curriculum development with a gender perspective. Participants will include representatives from the CRUCH's Commission of Academic Vice-Rectors, university curriculum development officers, the Student Federation, and research centers. The event is geared towards academic authorities; teaching and curriculum development teams; faculty; gender offices; students; and other individuals involved in the educational processes of higher education institutions.
