Following a successful first edition in 2024, CRUCH opens the 2026 application process to recognize those who have significantly contributed to the development and strengthening of the Chilean university system.

The call for nominations for the award will be open from Monday, April 27th until Monday, June 15th, and the award will be presented during August.

The Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH) has launched the second call for applications for the "CRUCH Recognition for Contribution to Higher Education," a biennial award that seeks to value the outstanding careers of individuals who have significantly contributed to the design, development, and strengthening of the country's university system.

This initiative, now established as a prestigious institutional event, highlights the trajectory, innovation, originality, and public impact of those who, through their work, have driven significant changes in the national higher education system. About the process

The second edition of this award, like the first, is aimed at Chilean citizens with a distinguished career. The eligibility and evaluation process will be managed by a Selection Committee composed of the rectors of the University of Concepción, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, the University of Santiago, the University of La Serena, the University of Atacama, and the Alberto Hurtado University.
