goals
To train graduates capable of proposing, leading, and conducting original research independently, the results of which will contribute to scientific and technological knowledge in the field of industrial processes for metallic mining and industrial minerals. This is expected to contribute to the scientific and technological development of the country and the region by training researchers and professors at the highest level in the field of Mineral Process Engineering and contributing to the generation of knowledge evidenced by publications in mainstream journals and/or patents.
Applicant Profile
Professionals with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree, a Civil Engineering degree, or an equivalent qualification that ensures satisfactory prior training for the program's purposes and requirements may apply. Individuals with a Bachelor of Science degree may also apply, but they may be required to register for a number of additional courses.
Graduate profile
The graduate profile considers that these individuals are capable of:
a) Generate and apply scientific and technological knowledge in their area in an original and innovative way.
b) Identify, formulate and solve problems within a field of process engineering
minerals.
c) Innovate and/or adapt solutions in the technological field of mineral process engineering.
d) To perform with critical judgment and analytical ability to address problems effectively
technological in the area.
