General objective
The program's general objective is to provide students with theoretical and methodological tools that will allow them to develop competencies and skills in each and every area of private law within professional practice, particularly the ability to analyze and effectively obtain, organize, and coherently systematize information and apply it to solving specific problems, as well as the ability to work in teams and cooperate.

Specific objectives
– To develop skills and abilities that allow for a deep understanding and well-founded application of the rules relating to Private Law.
– To develop the capacity for reflection in each sub-discipline that makes up Private Law.
– To enhance students' ability to search for information that allows them to solve the problems that Private Law is called upon to address, applying the solutions found to new situations.

The graduate profile considers the training of a postgraduate professional with the following characteristics:
«"The Master of Laws in Private Law must be able to understand the fundamental concepts and categories of private law, developing an advanced knowledge of the general principles and essential institutions of this discipline. Professional training will include, among its main areas, the study of property law, civil liability, family and inheritance law, civil and commercial contracts, business organization, and insolvency law.".
The master's degree holder must also have advanced knowledge and criteria in other disciplines related to private law, such as private jurisdictional protection, the study of guarantees, comparative private law, and environmental law.
The master's degree holder must be able to analyze and resolve legal situations, with appropriate handling of sources, identifying relevant facts, applicable rules and principles, and providing a solution to the problem presented. Likewise, they must be able to discern and make ethical assessments in relation to specific rules or situations and to legal positions or solutions.
