Applicant Profile

The main target audience for the program is graduates or masters in Philosophy from Chilean or foreign universities, as well as professionals from other related disciplines who have a Bachelor's, Master's or equivalent Professional Title and who demonstrate knowledge and skills in accordance with the objectives of the Doctorate.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the program are expected to successfully develop the following skills:

• Ability to analyze and understand philosophical problems related to the research areas of the Department of Philosophy
• Capacity for autonomous and innovative research within the framework of current discussions in the discipline
• Specific mastery of at least one topic relevant to one of the Department's research areas, which will be demonstrated especially through thesis work
