You will have a solid training in physical processes and their manifestation in astronomical phenomena, and the ability to learn new tools -such as observation techniques, data management, analysis methods, numerical simulations- that allow you to stay on the frontier of your specialty, be this astrophysics of planetary systems, stellar and galactic astrophysics or extragalactic astrophysics.

At the same time, they will have developed their critical thinking skills and their capacities to work collaboratively, which will allow them to insert themselves into international research networks and to function in demanding and competitive academic and professional contexts. Thus, graduates of the UDP doctorate in astrophysics will be able to work in purely academic environments, such as universities, or more technical, such as astronomical observatories.
