The new registration period for those wishing to take the PSU at the end of November will be open from September 12 to October 4. Students must register through the Applicant Portal on the DEMRE website.

Applicants from municipal and subsidized private schools who register during this period will also be able to apply for the JUNAEB Scholarship.

From Monday, September 12th until Tuesday, October 4th (13:00 hours) the extraordinary registration period for the PSU will be open, according to what was defined by the Single Admission System (SUA) of the Council of Rectors, in conjunction with the Department of Evaluation, Measurement and Educational Registration of the University of Chile (DEMRE).

Registration, which costs $30,060 pesos, must be completed through the DEMRE website, in the Applicant Portal. During this period, students can also apply for the PSU Scholarship offered by the National Board of School Assistance and Scholarships (JUNAEB), which fully covers tuition fees for students graduating from 12th grade this year from municipal and subsidized private schools.

High School Grades

It's important to remember that since last year, the Ministry of Education has been the official body responsible for reporting high school grades. "For this reason, students are advised to carefully review their grades, which will appear on the DEMRE website's registration platform. Should they find any errors or missing information, they should contact Mineduc Help as soon as possible or call 600 600 26 26," stated María Elena González, Director of the Unified Admission System of the Council of Rectors.

Foreigners interested in taking the PSU

Furthermore, foreigners who wish to take the PSU and do not yet have a National Identity Card and National Identification Number (RUN) can still register with a provisional RUN generated by the General Student Information System (SIGE) of the Ministry of Education, if they were enrolled in an educational institution and graduated from the 4th year of Secondary Education between 2009 and 2015, or are currently enrolled in the 4th year of Secondary Education. This also applies if their studies were recognized by the Ministry of Education and their records are associated with a passport or National Identity Document (DNI) number.

To register, you must contact the following as soon as possible: DEMRE Help Desk, or with the corresponding Regional Admissions Office (check link) to receive guidance according to your personal situation.
