The tests will be administered on November 28 and 29, according to the adjustments made to the Official 2017 Admission Process Calendar recently released by CRUCH. The deadline to register for the PSU has been extended to August 5.

The fee is $30.060 pesos and, as in previous years, students will be able to apply for the PSU Scholarship granted by JUNAEB.

Today at 9:00 a.m. the registration period began for the University Selection Tests (PSU) that will be applied on Monday, November 28 and Tuesday, November 29 of this year, according to the adjustments made to the Official Calendar of the Admission Process 2017 that was disseminated by the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities last Thursday.

“Students can register until Friday, August 5th to take the PSU exams, meaning they will have a period of 55 days, but it is recommended that they do so as soon as possible to guarantee their participation in the process,” said María Elena González, director of the Single Admission System of the Council of Rectors.

Registration, which this year costs $30.060 pesos, must be done online through the website of DEMRE (Department of Educational Evaluation, Measurement and Registration of the University of Chile).

As in previous years, students can apply for the PSU Scholarship offered by the National Board of School Assistance and Scholarships (JUNAEB). This scholarship, which covers the entire registration fee, is open to students in their graduating year from municipal and subsidized private schools.

Admission Calendar Dates

On the first day of the PSU, Monday, November 28, the Language and Communication test will be administered at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Science test at 2:30 p.m. On Tuesday, November 29, the Mathematics test will be administered at 9:00 a.m., and the History, Geography, and Social Sciences test will be administered in the afternoon (2:30 p.m.).

The scores obtained on the PSU will be published on Monday, December 26th at 8:00 AM, and applications to universities within the Unified Admission System will begin one hour later. The deadline to apply is Friday, December 30th at 1:00 PM.

Given that the application results will be announced on Wednesday, January 11, the first registration period will take place between Thursday, January 12, and Saturday, January 14. The second registration period will be between Sunday, January 15, and Saturday, January 21.

It is worth remembering that last week the CRUCH announced some adjustments to the Official Calendar of the 2017 Admission Process, responding to a request from the Ministry of Education to modify the initial dates of the PSU.
