goals

The overall objective of the Master of Science Program with a specialization in Physics is to contribute to the initial training of researchers in physics, providing its students with the necessary theoretical and methodological tools to contribute to the scientific development of the country.
The specific objectives of the Program are:
a) To train high-level graduates, capable of collaborating on cutting-edge topics in physics and its applications, contributing to the development of the discipline.
b) Contribute to the development of the discipline in the areas of specialization of the Program: Condensed Matter, Quantum Optics, High Energy Physics, Gravitation and Mathematical Physics, Earth and Space Sciences and Materials Science.

Applicant Profile

Students interested in applying to the Program must submit the following application documents:
– Birth Certificate.
– Certificate of academic degree or professional title, or proof that the document is in process (original or photocopy legalized before a notary).
– Undergraduate transcript (original or notarized photocopy).
– Curriculum vitae.
– Two letters of recommendation from teachers who endorse him.
– A letter of intent addressed to the Program Director.

Graduate profile

a) Master the general body of knowledge of Physics, at an advanced level.
b) Apply the body of knowledge of the chosen line of research, the advanced research techniques that are required, and collaborate in the generation of new knowledge in the area.
c) Collaborate in the formulation, design and implementation of research projects in a rigorous manner, to generate new knowledge in Physics, which contributes to the advancement of scientific knowledge.
d) Communicate the results derived from the research in a truthful and honest manner, through national and international scientific dissemination media.
