The Master's in Political Science seeks to train high-level specialists in the main areas of Political Science, as well as provide the conceptual elements, methodological tools and instruments of practical application, that allow its students and graduates to investigate, analyze and contribute to the search for solutions to the problems posed by public and political activity, both nationally and internationally.

Applicant Profile

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and/or professional title or equivalent that demonstrates prior training relevant to the program's objectives and requirements. With regard to the bachelor's degree and/or professional title, it is expected that the training will be equivalent to one awarded by the University of Chile, another state-recognized university, or a reputable foreign university.

Graduate profile

The Master's Program in Political Science is designed for those who seek to influence their surroundings through research and specialized knowledge. Our graduates have successfully integrated into the first levels of university teaching and research. They also participate in multidisciplinary teams in government and the private sector, where analytical skills and an understanding of the political system and its actors are essential. In this way, they become members of national and international organizations, associations, and companies. They are also actively involved in political organizations at the national and international levels.

During the program, students are exposed to the main approaches in Political Science. The Master's in Political Science develops four main lines of research:

1. Political Theory Line
2. Comparative Policy Line
3.- Line of subdisciplines and thematic courses
4.- Line of work to strengthen research and analysis skills
