The program's objective is to train specialists in technology transfer and scientific research. Graduates of the program should possess a solid foundation in the basic areas of computer science, be qualified to work as collaborators in scientific and technological laboratories, and be capable of effectively identifying, analyzing, and solving IT problems in any organization or company.

Applicant Profile

The general admission requirement is to be in possession of the academic degree of Bachelor of Science and / or Engineering Sciences.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the Master of Science Program with a specialization in Computing are specialists who analyze and solve problems in the field of computing creatively, effectively and efficiently, requiring innovative solutions.

Once the program is completed, they will be able to:
1. Apply a scientific perspective to problem-solving within a research group.
2.- Construct a literature review from scientific literature to generate the state of the art in a specific area of computing.
3.- Evaluate and select the most appropriate technique to solve a computational problem considering criteria of efficiency, robustness and correctness.
4. Apply current tools to solve complex problems.
5. Analyze computational problems, build models and implement them in appropriate programming languages.

Graduates will be prepared to pursue doctoral studies in computing, actively participate and collaborate in laboratories (national or international) to support scientific research and in applied research centers (public or private) for the development and transfer of technology.
