goals

The Program's general objective is to train graduates who critically and reflectively engage with the contemporary visual arts scene through proposals and models of creation and production with an authorial character of excellence.

Applicant Profile

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts or in related disciplines as determined by the Academic Committee. Those with a professional degree equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chile are also eligible. Furthermore, applicants must demonstrate a body of work in the field of visual arts or related areas that shows potential for development, is relevant, and contributes to the discipline. A statement of purpose is required, outlining the applicant's objectives in relation to the Program and outlining a line of work to be developed in the AFE workshops. A portfolio showcasing works created during the last two years, demonstrating the applicant's artistic output, is also required.

Graduate profile

Graduates will be qualified to pursue artistic creation, research, and teaching in their field. Therefore, graduates of the program will possess the knowledge, critical thinking, communication, and technical production skills necessary to integrate into the national and international artistic and cultural scene. Furthermore, they will be able to develop excellent creative proposals and production models that contribute to their discipline.
