Our goal is to train specialists in the areas of visual arts, design, film, photography and other related fields, as well as humanities and social sciences, as advanced researchers and teachers.

Lines of investigation
The academics of the master's program investigate, among other topics and objects, photographs as historical documents; the relationships between film, sound, visual arts and literature and between images and texts in general; hermeneutical approaches to the problem of the image; the conception of writing as image, the different media and techniques of image production throughout history, as well as intermediality.
