Applicant Profile
Possess a bachelor's degree and a professional title of Architect, Construction Engineer, Civil Constructor, Civil Engineer in related specialties or engineers in related specialties that are accepted by the Academic Committee of the Master's Program, graduated in Chile or abroad in the area of Construction who have a professional title of a career of at least 10 semesters prior acceptance of the Academic Committee of the Master's Program.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the Master's Program in Sustainable Construction (MGS) at the Catholic University of Maule (UCM) possess competencies in the area of sustainability, guided by the principles of feasibility, design, and planning in public and private buildings and infrastructure. They apply the principles of Sustainable Construction throughout the entire building lifecycle to minimize the resources required (materials, land, water, and energy) in the creation and management of the built environment. This enables them to contribute to the development, applied research, and innovation in the design and management of sustainable buildings and infrastructure for the Maule Region, as well as to address challenges in the architecture and construction sector through their participation in multidisciplinary teams.
The graduate demonstrates ethical behavior consistent with UCM's values. Furthermore, they are able to interact with investors and clients in the architectural design and construction process of sustainable buildings and infrastructure at the regional, national, and international levels, and can innovate in the creation of thermally and energy-efficient materials, energy supply systems, construction processes, and/or buildings.
