goals

General objective
The Master's Degree in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Concepción has the general objective of fostering the training of graduates with advanced competencies in the sciences of human movement, based on biological and physical sciences, community health, clinical research, technology in Kinesiology and rehabilitation; in order to optimize clinical practice, based on the paradigm of evidence-based practice and its application in the main lines of disciplinary development.

Specific objectives
– To promote the acquisition of advanced skills in the different areas of disciplinary development of Kinesiology, considering interdisciplinary integration and collaboration, the characteristics of the biopsychosocial context and the life course of the users.
– To promote the acquisition and application of advanced knowledge about the biological and biophysical mechanisms for their application in the process of function and dysfunction of human movement, throughout the different stages of the life course.
– Develop skills to apply technological tools that contribute to optimizing human functioning and the rehabilitation process.
– To promote the acquisition of skills for solving clinical problems, through evidence-based practice and to contribute to the generation of applied knowledge in the areas of disciplinary development.

The graduate of the Master's in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation from the University of Concepción is a professional capable of developing advanced protocols, plans and programs of kinesiological intervention in the areas of Cardiorespiratory Kinesiology, Neurokinesiology and Musculoskeletal Kinesiology, integrating the biological and biophysical mechanisms of the process of function and dysfunction of human movement, with the cultural aspects, values, belief systems framed in the life course of people, their family and the community to which they belong.
