Its objective is to train researchers with solid scientific knowledge in the field of chemical sciences, with the capacity for reflective and analytical thinking, with a level of greater depth and specialization compared to the training provided by the previous bachelor's degree or professional title, providing the necessary tools to contribute to the development of the region and the country.
Applicant Profile
Students applying to the program must meet the following admission requirements:
• Hold an academic degree in Chemical Sciences or related disciplines, such as: Industrial Chemist, Pharmaceutical Chemist, Biochemist, Chemical Engineer.
• Have an undergraduate grade point average of no less than 70 (on a scale of 0 to 100) or 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 7.
Graduate profile
The profile of the graduate of the Master of Science Program with a specialization in Chemistry at the Federico Santa María Technical University, has a solid scientific background and the ability to reason independently in the area of chemical sciences, to develop research according to the chosen disciplinary specialty, namely: Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry, enabling their contribution to the development of society.
