To train high-level professionals in the application of statistical methodology, both for the understanding of phenomena (obtaining knowledge) and for the decision-making process (efficiency in the use of resources).

This program is expected to attract graduate students or professionals seeking a higher level of expertise in this area, with undergraduate-level training in disciplines such as statistics, physics and mathematics, as well as the areas of engineering, health, natural and social sciences.
Graduate profile
Upon completion of their studies, graduates of this program will be able to propose, develop, implement, and/or adapt statistical methods to problems involving statistical science. They will be able to integrate and manage interdisciplinary research and development groups, as well as participate in the training of professionals in statistical science and those who require this field.
