goals

1. To contribute to the training of qualified human talent through the development of skills for the analysis of the national, regional and local context, critically identifying social and political problems,
institutional, and/or management, proposing solutions and/or communicating their ideas built on methodologies and tools appropriate for the design, management and evaluation of public policies, programs, and/or projects.
2. To contribute to the understanding of the main public problems and the proposal of solutions by strengthening human capital in Araucanía and the southern macro-region, with a solid
ethical and social commitment.

Applicant Profile

The master's program is designed for professionals from various disciplines within the social sciences, applied social sciences, and other related fields that are directly or indirectly connected to the public sector. In this sense, the program aims to meet academic and professional training needs related to public service in its broadest sense.
Taking into account the program's objectives, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and/or a professional qualification with an equivalent curriculum of at least eight semesters (240 SCT-Chile credits). Additionally, applicants are expected to demonstrate minimum generic competencies, which will be assessed during the admissions and selection process.

Graduate profile

The graduation profile includes the development and evidence of the following competencies or performances:
1. Analyze the national, regional and/or local context, articulating knowledge about the political system, the state, and/or the social structure.
2. Proposes solutions to identified complex problems associated with social, political, institutional, or management processes, considering the specific needs of the southern macro-region, within a framework of ethical action.
3. Communicate original ideas, with academic rigor, that promote regional development and governance, contributing to the process of decentralization and modernization of the State.
4. Uses cutting-edge instruments, tools and methodologies directed both to the design systems, programs, and/or public projects that promote social, economic and cultural development, as well as to the agenda, formulation, decision-making, implementation, and/or evaluation of public policies.
