The Master's Program in Marine Sciences with a focus on Coastal Resources aims to train graduates capable of solving problems in the area of biology and management of coastal resources, through innovative proposals based on the generation and integration of knowledge.
Applicant Profile
Applicants to the Program must be graduates with a bachelor's degree in related fields with a grade point average above 5.0 on the Chilean scale (or its formal equivalent), such as Biological or Oceanological Sciences. They must demonstrate interest in and motivation for scientific and academic work related to biology and coastal resource management. They must also possess analytical and data interpretation skills, an awareness of the environmental and social context, and the ability to read and understand specialized literature in English.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the Master's Program in Marine Sciences with a specialization in Coastal Resources possess specialized knowledge of the fundamentals of marine biology and coastal resource management, and are capable of solving problems in this area by proposing innovative solutions through the generation or integration of knowledge. In doing so, they aim to contribute to the advancement of science and the development of the country.
