goals

To train in the country and in the region (Latin America), human resources doctorates in Biology and Applied Ecology and with excellent basic training in areas of biological sciences. Graduates will contribute significantly to the development of basic research and the sustainable use of renewable natural resources, their management and their conservation. In addition, they will be able to actively join society, in the private or state sectors, to increase the development of science, the innovation process, and the diversification of methods, contributing to the planning of the use and management of natural resources in the form sustainable.

Applicant Profile

The Program is aimed at professionals in the field of Biology and Ecology of populations and communities, concerned with the sustainable use of renewable terrestrial and marine resources. Graduates in Biology, Biologists, Marine Biologists, Agricultural Engineers, Veterinarians and related professions.

Graduate profile

To train Doctors with an interdisciplinary and holistic vision, capable not only of researching and developing theoretical models, but also of proposing creative and viable solutions to the problems derived from the use and transformation of renewable resources. In other words, it is intended to train scientists with a strong orientation towards finding practical solutions for the good of society and the environment.
Graduates of this Program will be able to efficiently insert themselves into the national and international academic system, and in public or private organizations linked to the administration of natural resources, contributing to the creation of new knowledge, and in its application in the search for solutions in the scope of his specialty to support national and regional growth (Latin America). The graduate will also handle tools for the quantitative analysis of information and the development of conceptual models. They will be able to propose, develop and lead high-level basic and applied research, both in the university environment, in research centers and in other public and private institutions.
