There are a total of 77,727 vacancies across the 33 universities in the Unified Admission System. The official document, "List of Programs, Vacancies, and Weightings," can be downloaded from: www.sua-cruch.cl and www.demre.cl.
A total of 77,727 vacancies and 1,423 careers will be offered in the 2015 Admission Process by the 25 universities of the Council of Rectors (CRUCH) and the 8 private affiliated universities that make up the Single Admission System (SUA).
The official document “List of Careers, Vacancies and Weightings” of the 2015 Admission Process, which expands on what was published in June, will be available from today in digital format on the website of the Single Admission System of the Council of Rectors and also on that of DEMRE (Department of Evaluation, Measurement and Educational Registration of the University of Chile).

Registered for the PSU
A total of 277,848 applicants registered to take the University Selection Tests (PSU). 256,182 registered during the regular registration period (June 16 – August 1), while 21,666 registered during the extraordinary registration period (September 1 – 12).
Of the total number of registered students, 201,981 are from the current year's promotion and 75,867 are from previous promotions; 52.71% are women and 47.31% are men.
By region, the percentages are as follows: Arica and Parinacota, 1.4%; Tarapacá, 1.8%; Antofagasta, 3%; Atacama, 1.4%; Coquimbo, 4.2%; Valparaíso, 11.3%; Metropolitan Region of Santiago, 39.7%; Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins, 5%; Maule, 6%; Bío-Bío, 12.3%; La Araucanía, 5.4%; Los Ríos, 2.4%; Los Lagos, 4.4%; Aysén, 0.7%; and Magallanes, 1%.
Regarding educational affiliation, 36.51% of those enrolled come from municipal schools, 52.81% from subsidized private schools, 9.81% from private schools, and 0.91% correspond to validation and recognition of studies. Meanwhile, considering the educational branch, 69.81% of those enrolled are from academic-scientific schools and 29.31% from vocational-technical schools.
The figures mentioned regarding gender, region, educational dependency and educational branch, follow the trend of previous years.
Calendar
Regarding the schedule, it's important to remember that the PSU exams will be administered on December 1st and 2nd, and the results will be released on Sunday, December 21st at 8:00 a.m. The application period begins at 9:00 a.m. that same day and will run until Wednesday, December 24th at 1:00 p.m.
The results of the applications will be announced on Sunday, January 4th at 11:00 PM and the registration period will run from Monday, January 5th to Wednesday, January 7th, 2015.
