To commemorate seven decades of networking for educational excellence and the development of the country, the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH) updated its website to better respond to today's needs and the CRUCH's strategic axes with a view to 2030, as well as improve the user experience and deliver a greater variety of content and resources.

Among the new features of the website are the presentation of a new structure and graphic design, and new sections with useful content, both for members of the CRUCH community and its universities, as well as for anyone interested in the development of Higher Education.

As part of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH), which falls on August 14th of this year, the institution officially presented the renewal of its website (www.consejoderectores.clThe platform, which features a new structure, content, and graphic design, aims to better communicate the work of CRUCH, improve the user experience, and expand its reach to a wider audience.

“At a time when digital transformation and artificial intelligence have taken center stage, and in accordance with our organization’s commitment to the public good, we wanted to modernize and optimize our platform to better respond to current needs and the strategic priorities of CRUCH with a view to 2030,” commented Angélica Bosch, the organization’s general secretary.

Another key reason for this update, Bosch explained, is the need to highlight the work of the Council's various bodies: the plenary, made up of the rectors of the 30 most prominent universities in Chile; its working committees, in which experts from the universities participate; and the General Secretariat, which promotes and coordinates various initiatives.

“Our mission is to contribute to the development and strengthening of Higher Education in Chile. Therefore, we coordinate and promote collaboration among CRUCH universities, contributing to the design of public policies, territorial development, and the creation of cooperation networks at the national and international levels. In this sense, this new website represents a step forward in our commitment to excellence, research, and innovation in the field of Higher Education in Chile and Latin America,” stated the Secretary General of CRUCH.

What's new about the new platform

With a focus on improving the user experience, the website offers a modern and accessible interface, intuitive navigation, and a greater variety of content and resources.
Among the new sections, the “Strategic Areas” section stands out, with information about CRUCH's participation in public policies; the inter-institutional initiatives it promotes, such as the National Survey of Student Engagement Evaluation (ENCE); the international agreements, programs and scholarships that the organization has managed; and the accredited master's and doctoral programs of the Council's universities.

Another innovation in the redesigned homepage is the "CRUCH Committee News" section, which aims to highlight the work of each of the organization's 13 advisory committees, composed of experts from its member universities. In addition, website visitors can review the latest CRUCH social media posts in a dedicated section and subscribe to receive updates and the weekly newsletter.

On the other hand, they highlight the agenda, relocated to a more accessible place where the dates, times and location of the main events can be seen, as well as the creation of a new section with information on press appearances by CRUCH and its committees.
