With the publication of the CRUCH Civil Society Council's regulations this Thursday, May 15, the process of searching for its members began among representatives of foundations, corporations and/or non-profit organizations that are related to the Council's mission and are of public interest.

To give voice and understand the views of civil society regarding the exercise of the advisory role of CRUCH in matters of public policy on Higher Education, the process was initiated to form the Civil Society Council (COSOC) of the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH).

In compliance with the provisions of Law No. 20,500 on Associations and Citizen Participation in Public Management, the COSOC will be constituted as a collegiate body of a consultative nature, formed in a representative, diverse, pluralistic, inclusive and equal manner.

Its members will be at least six representatives of non-profit civil society organizations that are related to the mission and areas of competence of CRUCH at the Higher Education level.

In turn, consideration will be given to the connection of the participants with the strategic axes defined in the CRUCH Strategic Development System 2023-2030: structure and governance of the university subsystem; strengthening of public policies in Higher Education; research and knowledge generation; internationalization and globalization of the mission functions of universities; and digital transformation.

Detailed information on the Council's COSOC is available in the regulations published on May 15, 2024, a milestone that will allow the process of searching for its members to begin among representatives of foundations, corporations and/or non-profit organizations that are related to the mission of CRUCH and are of public interest.

Public Account 2024

As part of its commitments to citizen participation, the Council will present its 2024 Participatory Public Account on Thursday, May 30th, which will be broadcast on the CRUCH YouTube channel @cruch_chile.

Subsequently, a form will be available on the CRUCH website through which attendees can ask questions and share their comments.
