goals

The Master's Program in Animal Production Systems at the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Engineering aims to train professionals with advanced knowledge of Animal Production Systems within a framework of bioethics and animal welfare. This enables graduates to work as specialists in research, teaching, or production activities. Specifically, the program seeks to train professionals capable of performing in competitive, innovative, and development-oriented environments; with the ability to lead production management and technological innovation related to animal production, and the capacity to research and formulate novel agronomic solutions in animal science.

Applicant Profile

Hold a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree. Demonstrate sufficient English proficiency to understand written English, at a level that allows them to read articles and books and access international documents and databases. Submit transcripts from previous university studies. Letter of intent.

Graduate profile

Graduates of this program are characterized by their expertise in one or more of the following fields: animal physiology and welfare, animal production, modeling and simulation of production systems, animal nutrition and feeding, animal-derived foods, and agricultural ecology. It is understood that the concept of animal production includes terrestrial and aquatic species, including fish, mollusks, crustaceans, and algae. Due to their skills and competencies, which enable them to master the knowledge and tools applicable to this field, graduates of this program will be able to work in the public and/or private, productive and/or academic sectors, in universities, research centers, companies, and other public and/or private institutions related to development in the areas of Animal Science.
