goals
The Master's Program in Natural Resources aims to train specialists with advanced knowledge in biological conservation, environmental restoration, forest ecology, and global change. These specialists will possess a broad command of related disciplines and the capacity to conduct relevant, applied scientific research in the field of natural resources. They will also be skilled in analyzing and designing solutions to current problems related to the environment and human activities. Specifically, the Master's Program in Natural Resources seeks to train professionals with the following competencies: 1. Mastery and application of advanced scientific research tools in the area of natural resources. 2. Leadership skills in the area of natural resource studies and research. 3. The ability to identify and formulate innovative and cutting-edge solutions in the field of natural resources and the environment.
Applicant Profile
Hold a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree. Demonstrate sufficient English proficiency to understand written English, at a level that allows them to read articles and books and access international documents and databases. Submit transcripts from previous university studies. Letter of intent.
Graduate profile
The graduate profile states that graduates of the Master's Program in Natural Resources will possess the following competencies: Advanced knowledge of natural resources. Proficiency in and application of advanced tools in applied research. Leadership skills. Specialization in one or more of the following academic areas: Global Change, Wildlife Conservation and Management, Ecology and Forest Management, Environmental Restoration. Generation, management, and evaluation of projects and studies in the area of Natural Resources. Performance as teachers and researchers in the area of Natural Resources. Continuous learning habits throughout their professional career. Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. Integration of ethical, bioethical, and biosafety aspects associated with professional work in these disciplines. Graduates of the Master's Program in Natural Resources are qualified to hold positions in universities, research centers, multilateral organizations, production companies, and other public and/or private institutions related to the area of Natural Resources and the Environment. Furthermore, graduates of the Master's in Natural Resources are academically prepared to continue their studies towards obtaining a Doctorate.
