Its objective is to provide specialized training that allows understanding and addressing relevant problems in mental health, making critical use, in accordance with the professional ethical framework, of the technical and scientific tools provided by clinical psychology.
Applicant Profile
The Master's program in Clinical Psychology is aimed at licensed psychologists with experience in clinical psychology (having a professional practice of at least 360 hours of clinical care).
Graduate profile
Graduates of this master's program will have developed competencies focused on promoting and preventing mental health issues. They will have deepened their understanding and mastery of current theories on mental health, enabling them to use conceptual and instrumental tools for diagnosis, analysis, and general clinical interventions. They will contribute their knowledge and integrate seamlessly into healthcare teams alongside other professionals. They will be able to reflect on the ethical aspects of clinical psychology, both in patient care and research, making this a cross-cutting objective throughout the program.
Lines of investigation
The Master's Program in Clinical Psychology organizes its academic research into three main lines of inquiry: Research in early childhood and developmental trajectories; Research in depression and personality; and Research in mechanisms and processes of change in psychotherapy.
