goals
The program is proposed as an interdisciplinary master's degree specialization that seeks to train researchers who are capable of addressing problems related to territory, city and landscape.
Applicant Profile
The program is aimed at architects, urban planners, designers, engineers, civil engineers, artists, historians, journalists, and others interested in specializing in cultural heritage from an interdisciplinary perspective. It is also geared towards UC College students who wish to pursue a Master's degree, particularly those in the Bachelor of Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences programs, and offers a specialization pathway for graduates in Geography, History, and Arts. Furthermore, the program is intended to serve as a degree and Master's program option within the School of Architecture. To apply to the UC Master's in Cultural Heritage, you must:
1. Hold an academic degree of Bachelor, or a professional university title equivalent to a Bachelor's degree* from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, obtained from a university recognized by the State of Chile or, in the case of foreign institutions, by the State of the corresponding country, in areas related to the program (Architecture, Art, History, Engineering, Archaeology, Geography, among others).
*It is important to note that only a bachelor's degree is equivalent to an academic degree necessary to obtain a postgraduate degree (according to the General Education Law of Chile and the internal regulations of the Catholic University); professional titles do not necessarily equate to bachelor's degrees.
2. Have intermediate level knowledge of the English language, equivalent to ALTE level 2 in reading ability. [See point 7 of Stage 2 for more details].
3. Approve the selection process.
