goals
To train specialists in comprehensive architectural design, providing theoretical and conceptual frameworks,
methods and technical tools for the development of entrepreneurial projects in the
exercise of the discipline, combining management, applied research and responsibility
social and environmental in its various dimensions and scales.
Specific objectives:
a) Establish a solid theoretical and conceptual basis using tools and methodologies,
contributing to strengthening one's own thinking and discourse, aimed at developing a spirit
innovative in architectural design.
b) To provide the knowledge that allows one to function within the institutional framework and
economic context, which allows for the conception, development and implementation of proposals and designs
from a systemic perspective.
c) To promote the environmental dimension in the field of architectural design, by
innovation products of entrepreneurship and patenting.
d) To contribute to the strengthening of applied research in the field of design
architectural.
Applicant Profile
To apply to MIDA, interested parties must meet the following requirements:
– Be an architect, urban planner or designer, with a degree and professional title obtained.
– Be a civil engineer, civil construction engineer or industrial designer, with a bachelor's degree and title
professional qualifications obtained and that certify interest in the field of architectural design.
– Be a professional in other disciplinary fields, with a bachelor's degree and professional title
obtained, which certify interest in the field of architectural design.
– Students who have fully passed the 5th year of the School of Architecture
USACH and who are within the top 20% of the degree ranking.
Exceptions will be evaluated and resolved by the CPM.
– Graduates in Architecture, with at least two years of work experience
Certificate in the field of architecture, subject to prior approval by the Master's Program Committee
(CPM).
– Foreigners with a bachelor's degree and/or professional title obtained, coming from
universities accredited in their respective countries, subject to prior approval by the Program Committee
Master's degree (CPM).
Graduate profile
The purpose of the Integrated Master's Degree in Architectural Design is to train a/an
Entrepreneur in Architectural Design, at the highest level. Graduates of this Program
They will be trained to:
a) To explore new fields of professional performance, in order to promote and develop
design projects at various scales, integrating entrepreneurship and innovation for this purpose;
sustainability and energy efficiency; and contemporary architectural theory.
b) Develop explorations, situated at the intersection between professional practice and
research, fostering new visions and proposals for comprehensive architectural design, with
direct impact on the habitable space, emphasizing its public dimension.
c) Actively lead the management of projects in new areas of operation that
Consider the reciprocity between the individual and the environment, in order to improve the quality of life
of people, incorporating sustainable design concepts and tools.
d) To innovate in the design and practice of the discipline, integrating a systemic approach and
entrepreneurship that allows the management of architectural projects that enhance well-being
of people.
