goals

1. To train professionals capable of conceptualizing and operating on the territory, its landscapes and in relation to its communities, through a series of technical, theoretical and representational tools.
2. To contribute to knowledge in the areas of territorial planning in relation to climate change, strategic planning at various scales, conservation and preservation of natural areas and biodiversity, mechanisms for citizen participation, and gender inclusion in public space.

Applicant Profile

Designers, architects, artists, landscape architects, geographers, geologists, biologists, agronomists, engineers, economists, sociologists, anthropologists.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the MTP program will be able to conceptualize and work with the territory, its landscapes, and in relation to its communities. They will possess the knowledge and skills to significantly improve their professional practice, teaching, or research in the following areas:
• The concern for natural resources and climate change is geared towards regional planning that requires a high level of scientific knowledge and the coordinated work of a multidisciplinary team.

• The concern for biodiversity is geared towards the environmental protection of protected areas and other areas of high ecological value that require management plans and/or infrastructure for their enhancement, through the tourism mechanism.

• The focus for entrepreneurship is on developing tools specific to branding and corporate/commercial marketing for territory management.

• The concern for local communities is focused on mechanisms for citizen participation and new ways of valuing cultural heritage and intangible assets.

Specifically, graduates will be able to:
• To articulate and solve the complex problems that concern our current society.

• Work in and lead multidisciplinary teams (common language between exact sciences and humanities) with a collaborative, holistic, systemic and multi-scalar vision.

• Apply relevant methodologies, tools, and indicators.

• Map the components and dynamic configuration of landscapes and territories.

• To make visible and value the intangible (ecological, cultural and social).

• Develop research characterized by sound theoretical handling and a rigorous methodological process.
