a) To understand the institutional structure of the Chilean political system, and especially that of territorial power, with an emphasis on local and regional governments, and to critically analyze its characteristics. b) To relate the different theoretical approaches to the problem of poverty with the predominant type of public policy and its intervention strategies. c) To identify the trajectory of public policies implemented by the Chilean state regarding poverty, their milestones and tensions, from a socio-territorial perspective that highlights a participatory view of the public policy cycle. d) To analyze secondary information and generate information through the use of methodological tools primarily geared towards conducting applied research. e) To contribute a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of socio-territorial intervention, including an ethical perspective on the responsibility of actors interacting with civil society.
