goals
General objective:
To provide advanced knowledge in psychoanalytic theory and clinical practice, always in dialogue with other disciplines, so that students can analyze and problematize the different forms of subjective suffering and carry out research in this field of knowledge.
Specific objectives:
1) That students understand the fundamentals of psychoanalytic theory and clinical practice, especially Freudian-Lacanian, and are able to analyze and problematize the different modes of subjective suffering, establishing relationships between psychoanalysis and other areas of knowledge.
2) That students develop research skills in the field of psychoanalysis, whether in the clinical field or as a contribution to the understanding of society and culture.
Applicant Profile
The Master's Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Psychoanalytic Theory and Clinical Practice is aimed at psychologists and professionals from other disciplines who are interested in training focused on the rigorous study of psychoanalytic theory and clinical practice, along with an interest in developing analytical and research skills that allow them to problematize, contextualize, and explain subjective experience—and its relationship with the socio-historical context—from a psychoanalytic perspective.
Graduate profile
Upon completion of the Program, graduates will have acquired knowledge of the theoretical and clinical foundations of psychoanalysis—from various psychoanalytic traditions, but especially from the Freudian-Lacanian perspective—and will possess the conceptual and epistemological tools to situate their knowledge socio-historically, establishing well-founded dialogues and discussions with other fields of knowledge. Furthermore, graduates will have the theoretical and methodological knowledge that will enable them to investigate and contribute to the problematization and clarification of the different modes of subjective suffering from a psychoanalytic perspective, both in academia and in the various professional contexts in which they work.
