Graduate profile

The graduate of the Master's in Mathematics meets the following profile:
•Possesses knowledge, skills and techniques specific to the discipline in Algebra, Analysis, Topology and Geometry.
•Has the ability to study, understand, analyze, synthesize and present topics of contemporary mathematics.
•Possesses general knowledge, skills and techniques specific to one of the lines of research developed at the Institute.
•Collects, selects, analyzes and synthesizes information from relevant scientific sources.
•Conduct a research project guided by an experienced researcher, understand the state of the art and project it by formulating relevant questions.
• Produces scientific writing independently with an appropriate mathematical writing style.
•Distinguishes the relevance of the contribution of their line of research to a problem posed from another area of knowledge.
•From his specialty, he supports the planning, development and implementation of mathematical models suitable for solving problems, motivated by mathematical or non-mathematical research, and establishes dictionaries that allow him to contextualize, interpret and communicate the models and results obtained.
