goals
To contribute to the theoretical, methodological and critical training of the master's student, preparing him for his performance in research and teaching in secondary and higher education, cultural organizations and institutions and/or Postgraduate Programs in Literature.
Its specific objectives are:
a) Develop your own lines of research, deepening and stimulating the production of new knowledge, based on the Program's emphasis on Latin American and Chilean Literature.
b) To promote different areas of Literary studies linked to the different geopolitical spaces that Latin America implies today, incorporating the specificities and cultural heterogeneities.
c) To delve deeper into the different theoretical and methodological approaches in relation to Latin American and Chilean Literature.
d) Enable the graduate to pursue doctoral studies.
Applicant Profile
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree and/or professional title, of at least eight semesters in duration, from Chilean or foreign universities recognized by the State. The Program Committee will evaluate the applicant's skills in the Program's disciplinary area.
Graduate profile
a) Develop literary research and/or teaching, in the areas of the Master's program, that incorporate the critical and theoretical-literary practices worked on in the Program.
b) To evaluate, critique and take a well-founded position on the topics promoted by the Latin American and Chilean Literature Program.
c) Conduct literary research incorporating knowledge and problems related to cultural history, social, anthropological knowledge and the human sciences that have constituted thought in Latin America, using the conceptual and methodological resources of the discipline.
