Lines of investigation
The Master's Program in Latin American Literature, conceived from this dialogical relationship between literature and society, draws particularly on four areas of specialization that already have a history within the Department of Language and Literature. These areas are: Latin American and Regional Literature, National Latin American Literatures (Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay), Chilean Literature, and Literary Theory (Contemporary Theory and Latin American Critical Theory). The series of contemporary issues and reflections addressed are organized around the department's research lines, specifically "Literature and Society" and "Literature and Intermediality.".
