This program supports the development of skills in project formulation, design, and management, with a special emphasis on training and business administration in the construction sector, specializing in Project Management. The program aims to provide high-level academic and professional training so that students can exercise leadership, efficiently and competitively managing projects and companies in the construction sector, and respond creatively, innovatively, and with leadership to the challenges presented by the construction industry.
Applicant Profile
• Executives and professionals in the Construction sector, both public and private, who are professionally involved in the construction of Civil Works and Buildings, Industrial Installations, and Facilities.
Mining and Real Estate Sector, including urban managers and planners.
Professionals may come from sectors related to Construction, such as financial services, stock market services, industrial manufacturing of materials and supplies for Construction, strategic planning and National Defense, among others.
Graduate profile
The graduate of the Master's Program in Construction Engineering will be a professional with a strategic vision of the Construction sector, having enhanced business skills, research capabilities and technological innovation in the sector, complementing and deepening the graduate's training in the area of Technological Management of Construction.
The Construction Industry, embedded in a highly competitive environment and in highly mature markets, requires professionals in the sector who offer novel solutions and better alternatives to solve production problems, through innovation and entrepreneurship.
The program has a central focus on developing managerial skills for the accurate identification and resolution of problems and conflicts, geared towards management in the construction industry. Graduates should be able to develop the skills to design, plan, build, and implement decision-making models in the various areas of planning, execution, and control of engineering projects. At a strategic level, graduates should be able to design and develop comprehensive strategies for each sector of the economy, especially in the non-tradable goods sector, which is characteristic of the construction industry.
The attainment of the Professional Master's Degree in Construction Engineering allows the graduate, once in the job market, among other capabilities, the correct identification of technological problems in the company and the contribution to their solution.
