goals
• Develop research skills
and knowledge production around the
history of Contemporary Chile, starting from a
interdisciplinary approach.
• Develop and conduct theoretical research,
methodologically and historiographically
informed, referring to Contemporary Chile.
• Use in an informed and appropriate manner the
theoretical and methodological approaches from
of contemporary historiographical trends,
as well as tools and analytical frameworks
linked to interdisciplinarity.
• Define lists of historical sources, bibliography
historiographical and heuristic tools in
reference to a research problem
situated in the contemporary history of Chile.
Applicant Profile
It is aimed at graduates in History interested in research and teaching in higher education related to contemporary Chile. Professionals and graduates in the Social Sciences and History teachers.
Graduate profile
a.- The ability to develop and carry out theoretically, methodologically and historiographically informed research related to Contemporary Chile.
b.- The informed and relevant use of theoretical and methodological approaches from contemporary historiographical currents, as well as tools and prisms of analysis linked to interdisciplinarity and transnational history.
c.- The ability to define lists of historical sources, historiographical bibliography and bibliography from other disciplines and heuristic tools in reference to a research problem situated in the contemporary history of Chile.
d.- When appropriate – and based on pedagogical skills provided in previous training processes – strengthen the capacity of program participants to develop updated teaching in the field of higher education, related to the history of Contemporary Chile.
