• The overall objective of the program is to contribute to the improvement of professionals who help in the construction and deployment of a comprehensive vision of politics, focused on strengthening democracy and the well-being of its citizens.
Applicant Profile
The target audience for the Master's Program in Government and Society are men and women interested in public affairs and management, who are currently involved (or expect to be in the future) with the government apparatus at the central, regional, and municipal levels. However, professionals from civil society or academia who are seeking to advance their careers in government or who regularly interact with it may also be interested.
Regarding their professional background, they come from the field of Social Sciences (political scientists, sociologists, social workers, lawyers, and journalists, among others). A simple photocopy of their degree certificate is required.

Graduate profile
After 4 semesters of work, the graduate is able to:
a) To understand in a comprehensive way the political and governmental phenomenon based on updated knowledge and interpretive theoretical elements of the way in which politics is linked to its environment in matters such as public administration, political systems and regimes of government, citizen participation and governance.
b) Analyze the political and social processes of Chile and Latin America and the main challenges in the areas of public management, design and implementation of public policies, governance, among others.
Applying public management tools and techniques, political communication strategies, management and innovation, with the aim of solving the challenges present in the field of design and implementation of public policies in Chile from a cross-cutting vision of public ethics.
