goals
The Master's Degree Program in Geography has the general purpose of training graduates at a higher level in this scientific discipline, capable of developing research that constitutes a significant contribution to the knowledge of the spatial dynamics of the territory, as well as to its management and the use of its resources, for the purpose of development planning from a socio-economic and environmentally sustainable perspective in the scenarios of socio-natural changes that the country will face in the following decades.
Applicant Profile
Academic degree and/or professional title related to this disciplinary field. Prior training relevant to the program's aims and requirements, such as social or earth sciences. Knowledge of the English language.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the program are researchers and professionals trained in the design, implementation and application of the theoretical concepts and methodological tools available to modern geography for the analysis and prospective evaluation of the spatial structures and processes that take place in complex and multi-scale territorial systems, with the purpose of suggesting sustainable decisions in the areas of the environment, the planning and management of territorial resources and urban and rural development.
