goals

The overall objective of the Program is:

To train finance specialists who, through their work, contribute to the professional practice and/or technical development of the financial area, with emphasis on financial markets and the statistical and econometric methods that facilitate their study.

The specific objectives of the Program are:

a) To train graduates capable of using the methodological tools of finance to make practical, and potentially empirical, applications in matters related to financial markets.
b) To introduce students of the Program to the concepts, tools and models of finance, considering the evolution of modern financial theory and alternative paradigms.
c) To provide the conceptual tools for graduates to develop in the professional and/or academic world in the financial area.

Applicant Profile

Applicants must hold a professional degree and/or Bachelor's degree of at least eight semesters from a national or international university in the field of finance, economics, administration, engineering, or a related area. In the latter case, the Program Committee will evaluate the applicant's suitability, who must demonstrate knowledge of basic statistics, accounting, economics, and finance.

Graduate profile

Graduates of the Master in Finance will be able to:

a) Identify and analyze various problems that occur in financial markets, in areas such as Financial Analysis, Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Business Valuation, Stock Market, Bond Market, Derivatives and Financial Behavioral, among others.
b) Apply statistical and/or econometric methods respecting the veracity of the data and the use of sources.
c) To provide practical and applied solutions to different problems or topics related to financial markets.
