goals
1.- To contribute to the creation and consolidation of knowledge in the subjects of reflection
high-level philosophical.
2.- To stimulate the generation of new knowledge in accordance with the research demands and challenges of the country.
3.- To train specialists in advanced research in the various thematic areas of philosophy such as epistemology, aesthetics, ethics, philosophy of language, moral and political philosophy, modern and contemporary thought, metaphysics, among others.
4.- Acquire relevant conceptual and theoretical tools for strengthening philosophical, analytical and critical skills, which aim at investigative autonomy.
5.- To contribute to the generation of national and international academic cooperation and exchange networks at the student and academic level.
Applicant Profile
1.- Possess the degree of Bachelor/or professional title whose level, content and duration of studies correspond to an equivalent training to that of the degree of Bachelor/or professional title at the University of Chile, that is, that has at least eight semesters in duration.
2.- To have obtained in that undergraduate program a final average grade equal to or greater than 5.0 (or its equivalent).
3.- Demonstrate competence in understanding one of the following foreign languages: English, French, German, Italian, in addition to mastering Spanish.
Graduate profile
The graduates are specialists in their field of research, and as such, are able to:
1.- To recognize and systematize lines of philosophical research with methodological rigor.
2.- Strengthen lines of advanced research through participation in research projects, preparation of specialized articles, and participation in conferences.
3.- To contribute to the strengthening of the discipline by virtue of its specialization and investigative autonomy.
