goals
The objective of the Master's program in Statistics is to train specialists in the theory, methodology, and applications of statistical science. Upon completion of the program, graduates are expected to acquire a solid foundation in statistical techniques, enabling them to perform specific tasks in the private sector, public institutions, interdisciplinary groups, statistics education, and consulting services that require their expertise.
Applicant Profile
Bachelor's degree in statistics or mathematics, or a Bachelor's degree in engineering sciences or related fields, demonstrating a solid background in differential and integral calculus in one or more variables, matrix algebra, probability, and statistical inference
Graduate profile
Graduates of the program will be prepared to: (i) propose, develop, and implement methods specific to their field in solving interdisciplinary problems, (ii) research and develop new theories for the advancement of statistics itself, (iii) continue their academic training in doctoral programs, (iv) integrate and manage interdisciplinary research and development groups, and (v) participate in the training of professionals in statistics or other disciplines that require it.
