goals

To prepare and train professionals to develop and evaluate research and intervention programs on topics related to aging and old age, proposing solutions.
1.- To provide high-level academic training, of a multidisciplinary nature, with updated content and methodologies for the development of research on topics related to aging, old age and quality of life.
2. To provide the necessary theoretical and methodological skills so that graduates of the Master's Program in Aging and Quality of Life can promote and maintain the autonomy of older adults in all areas and improve their quality of life; and to offer innovative, viable, and appropriate alternatives for the challenges posed by this population in all fields of knowledge.

Applicant Profile

Hold a bachelor's degree or a professional title that the Academic Committee considers equivalent and preferably work in the areas of health, architecture and design, social, economic or legal sciences or another whose work is preferably related to older adults.

Graduate profile

The professional will have a mixed training (Academic and Professional), with the ability to both propose and develop research programs and to carry out the application of research results or policies related to older people

1. Frailty, sarcopenia, and dysmobility.
2. Quality of life and overcoming health inequity.
3. Energy expenditure of older adults.
4. Vascular aging, sarcopenia, and functional decline.
5. Barriers within the home and in the urban environment that limit the functionality of the elderly.
6. Discrimination and lack of social inclusion of older adults.
7. Cognitive impairment and dementia in older adults.
8. Healthy life expectancy.
