goals

The program aims to provide postgraduate training in the field of educational computing. It also offers a solid foundation in the planning, use, application, and evaluation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a means of supporting teaching and educational management at all levels of the education system.

Applicant Profile

Those who meet the following requirements may apply to the Program:
1. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree or a professional title whose level, content, and duration of studies correspond to training equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chile, in disciplinary fields related to the specialization, ensuring satisfactory prior training for the purposes and requirements of the Program. The determination of related disciplinary or professional fields corresponds to the Academic Committee of the Master's Program in Education, Specialization in Educational Informatics, which will verify the applicants' level and prior training in relation to the purposes and requirements of the Program.
2.- Demonstrate to the Academic Committee the minimum necessary computer skills required to delve deeper into the field of computer science and communications, and a satisfactory prior academic or professional background.

Graduate profile

Upon completion of the training process, the graduate will be able to:
1.- Analyze the approaches from the social sciences that promote education, the teaching and learning process, and professional development that integrates educational computing.
2.- To critically, creatively and contextually evaluate the development of educational computing and the contributions it makes to the educational field.
3. Design research and/or innovation projects in education with an emphasis on the application of educational computing resources.
