The overall objective is to offer a postgraduate program leading to a Master's degree in Education, providing research training in the field and the ability to analyze, evaluate, and investigate real-world educational problems. It also aims to foster competencies that contribute to educational knowledge, enabling the development and application of proposals for improving education at various levels and in diverse contexts, with applications to the professional and social spheres at the local, regional, and national levels.
Applicant Profile
Essentially, primary and secondary school teachers, early childhood educators, educational psychologists, and other professionals working in the educational field who hold an academic degree equivalent to a Bachelor of Education.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the Master's Program in Education at the University of Bío-Bío will be characterized by their research skills, enabling them to generate innovative proposals to address problems identified in the educational field, teacher training, and the development of pedagogical knowledge in diverse sociocultural contexts. They will be able to communicate the knowledge generated with scientific rigor and social responsibility. Their educational practice will be based on a mastery of teaching knowledge, contemporary educational trends, and the application of theoretical and methodological elements aimed at improving the quality of educational processes in the various contexts and levels of the educational system.
