This program is designed to train professionals with a global perspective on energy issues and the tools to address the new challenges posed by global economic development in the energy sector, as well as to foster optimal and effective collaboration as multidisciplinary professionals. Topics covered include legal, regulatory, economic, social, environmental, commercial, technological, and energy efficiency aspects. The program is designed to achieve optimal performance in both the private and public sectors.
Applicant Profile
Professionals with a Bachelor's degree or other academic degree or university professional title, whose level and content of study are equivalent to those necessary to obtain the required Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required; however, limited spaces are available for applicants without professional experience.
Graduate profile
Graduates of this program are professionals with a comprehensive understanding of energy issues, encompassing technological, economic, social, environmental, commercial, regulatory, and efficiency aspects. They possess the capacity for decision-making, management, and optimal administration of energy systems, providing timely solutions and developing effective strategies to address complex situations and challenges arising from technological advancements. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have acquired the following specific disciplinary and transversal generic competencies.
Generic transversal skills:
a) To act with high standards of professional, social, ethical and environmental responsibility, through actions related to energy management, for the sustainable development of the organization and the community.
b) Creatively apply advanced disciplinary knowledge to solve complex problems, proposing solutions based on their impact on the organization, people and the environment.
c) To adhere to a commitment to quality in the application of methodologies and work tools, to improve the performance of professional activities in the energy sector.
d) Critically and reflectively evaluate situations specific to their work environment, in order to provide effective and efficient responses.
Specific skills:
a) Plan optimal management and administration of the relevant variables of the different aspects of energy, for the development and improvement of energy projects.
b) To evaluate technically, economically and commercially the energy strategies and alternatives available on the market, in order to solve complex situations associated with the use of energy, technological advancement and energy efficiency.
c) Interpret the most important organic, legal and regulatory structure of the energy sector in Chile and other countries, in order to recognize its application and compliance.
d) Analyze the social and environmental impacts of energy throughout its value chain, in order to provide solutions and alternatives for the sustainability of society.
