goals
The objective of the Program is to train graduates in the area of marine ecology with theoretical and practical skills that enable them to address questions and advance solutions to problems in their area of specialization, through the generation of scientific knowledge, in an institutional ethical framework that considers respect for the human person and nature.
Applicant Profile
The ideal candidate is a graduate or professional in the biological, marine, environmental sciences, or related fields, with an interest in conducting scientific research and addressing problems in the field of marine ecology. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English, enabling them to read and understand literature in that language.

The graduate profile corresponds to that of a scientist specializing in the area of marine ecology whose training enables him to make qualified contributions in his area of competence, conduct original research autonomously, and manage and communicate scientific information.
Lines of investigation
Ecology of Marine Organisms, Populations and Communities: Study of the natural and anthropogenic factors, and their interactions, that determine the ecological patterns in the coastal marine environment, and their implications for the management and conservation of these environments.
Evolution and Molecular Ecology of Marine Organisms: Study of the evolutionary, genetic and life history factors that determine biodiversity in coastal marine systems.
