goals

• General Objective
To train professionals capable of leading and managing, with rigor, excellence and high ethical standards, public bodies and institutions oriented towards solving problems of public interest, in order to contribute to the development of the country.

Specific objectives
a) Analyze the economic, financial, social, political and cultural variables that affect the current and future development of public bodies.
b) To provide the legal foundations that govern the structure and actions of the organs of the administration of the State of Chile.
c) Update and expand the mastery of modern management models and techniques to respond promptly and efficiently to changes and challenges in the public sector.
d) Promote responsible decision-making processes regarding the application of public policies.
e) Develop leadership and team management skills.
f) Develop skills aimed at managing changes and innovations within the organization.
g) Develop communication skills for negotiation processes and relationships with diverse organizations and the community.

• Integrate economic, legal, social science and management knowledge with that of specialization in public management, for the efficient management of public bodies, rational decision-making and responsible application of public policies.
• To direct and manage public bodies, through honest conduct, inclusive leadership and the promotion of respectful and trusting relationships among people.
• To build mutually beneficial relationships between your institution and the environment (public/private), in order to manage projects of public interest, through effective communication and negotiation processes, in pursuit of institutional objectives.
• To propose and apply modern management models and techniques, based on strategic and creative thinking and the development of participatory processes within the organization and with the community, so that the public sector stands out for the quality of service it provides to its various users and beneficiaries.
• To promote changes and innovations in the organizations in which he/she works, with a long-term vision and oriented towards the continuous improvement of the institution and the development of people.

Lines of investigation

THE PROGRAM IS STRUCTURED AROUND THREE LINES OF ACTION:
Legal and Political Science, which aims to deepen the knowledge of the legal framework and public policies that govern the management of public bodies.
Economics and Finance, through which the fundamentals of macro and microeconomics will be provided, essential to understand the impact of various events on it, as well as providing the necessary knowledge in project evaluation, the fundamentals of public finance management and the systems and treaties that include Chile in international relations.
Management and Systems, through which the administrative concepts and techniques that are most efficient for the new objectives set by the public body are developed, and to internalize and perfect the student in the use of new Information Technologies intended to facilitate coordination and improve the Management both internally of the Organization and in the relationship with the client-user.
