To strengthen the didactic-mathematical knowledge of mathematics education professionals so that they are able to implement intervention projects in the teaching and learning of mathematics in the classroom of educational institutions.

Applicant Profile

This Program is aimed at primary or secondary school teachers in mathematics, who wish to improve their own or others' (teachers and students) mathematical learning and thereby strengthen mathematical didactic knowledge, through the implementation of improvement projects, clearly diagnosed, and based on theoretical frameworks of mathematics didactics.

Graduate profile

Graduates of this program are professionals ethically committed to their role as educators, aware of their responsibility for the academic, personal, social, and ethical development of their students, and possessing a strong foundation in mathematical pedagogy. They are capable of identifying learning difficulties and/or challenges in developing mathematical skills in the classroom. Furthermore, they will have the competencies to design, implement, and evaluate theoretically grounded intervention projects that improve mathematical instruction in educational institutions within the school system.
