goals
The overall objective of the Program is to provide students with a comprehensive overview of International Human Rights Law and its application at the national level, through public policy design and monitoring activities. This aims to contribute to the training and specialization of lawyers and related professionals in the country, with an emphasis on public officials, in a central and increasingly relevant area at both the national and international levels: international human rights law.

Lawyers and related professionals with an interest in the area. It is primarily, but not exclusively, aimed at public officials from various professions.
Graduate profile
Graduates of the Master's Program in International Human Rights Law at UDP will have the knowledge and skills to participate in the organization and implementation of public policies on human rights, as well as in the drafting of bills related to the subject.
They will be trained to integrate an international human rights law perspective into their roles at the national and regional levels, and especially to incorporate international standards when formulating and implementing public policies. They will also have the tools to carry out human rights monitoring based on international human rights standards.
Graduates will possess critical thinking skills—such as the ability to critically evaluate and apply the quality of various sources, instruments, or policies—and will be able to substantiate their decisions and viewpoints on human rights, using arguments based on the norms, doctrine, and practice of International Law on the subject.
